Monique Becker’s recent body of work emerges from an intense experience, during which she had the opportunity to push the scale and physicality of her paintings. Over a period of 18 months, she developed a series of monumental works that reflect a profound dialogue between movement and material.

The exhibition at Creutz(&)Friends presents selected pieces from this transformative period, offering insight into her evolving approach to abstraction and spatial engagement. Her book Who dwells in the dark?, featuring photography by Tom Jungbluth and texts by Céline Coubray, Paul de Felice, and Lou Philipps, will be released at the event on 16 April.
