ABOUT THE SKODA TOUR OF LUXEMBOURG

The Skoda Tour of Luxembourg was first held in 1935, making it one of the older races on the cycling calendar. It experienced several interruptions, primarily due to World War II. Over the decades, the race evolved both in terms of route complexity and international participation. Initially designed for local riders, it gradually became a pivotal event that saw increased competition from global talent.

In recent years, Skoda has become a title sponsor, enhancing the race's visibility and stature in the cycling world. The course attracts a mix of WorldTour teams, ProTeams, and Continental teams, making it a hotbed for both emerging and established cycling talent.

Recent editions have included live broadcasting and a stronger social media presence.

The Skoda Tour of Luxembourg is not only a significant event in national and international cycle sports; working as a platform showcasing the nation's scenic beauty and sporting spirit, it also contributes to Luxembourg’s tourism and culture.
